ACS 9315 is a full-service node interface that connects an IBM MVS or VMhost to an Ethernet or IEEE 802.3 Local Area Network (LAN) through thehost's block multiplexer channel.The hardware interface is a front-end processor that performs up to threelevels of Ethernet protocol functions, while supporting a host-residentsoftware subsystem implementing high-level TCP/IP protocols.
